Writeidea 2016

Welcome to  Writeidea 2016. Much of our programme this year is now live.

We are particularly pleased to kick off events on Friday 11 November with the legendary Polari, London’s award winning LGBT literary salon, and from then on, it’s a rollercoaster ride through East End myths and history, real and imagined detectives, travellers, revolutionaries, music icons, and plenty of fascinating stories to fill us all with wonder. Local history is always a popular theme at Writeidea, so look out for the strand of talks on Saturday programmed by our colleagues at Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archives on Bancroft Road.

All events are FREE. You can just turn up – but it’s best to book your place with a ticket  (some events are very popular) Please book your free ticket via the individual event page. Tickets are on a first come, first served basis.

A number of events will be British Sign Language InterpretedRoddy Slorach, Suzanne Joinson, Dan Cruikshank, Sunny Singh, Brix Smith Start, Peter Kennard and Philip Norman.
